If The Wealth Of The Wicked Is Stored Up For The Just, Then Why Are You So Broke? Part 2

In my previous article, I shared how the “wealth of the wicked”, in Proverbs 13:22, is many times taken out of content. And how many preachers and evangelists have rode that “prosperity message” into the ground so much, that people, like myself, have become numb to it.

Most of the time, I felt God wanted to create character and maturity in people, before He was going “unload” all this wealth on the majority that couldn’t handle it.

Then, there was always the under lying doubt, “If we’re suppose to receive ALL this wealth, then why are we so broke?” Of course, after leaving a service, when a prosperity message is being preached, your faith is automatically energized because the majority of the people are poor or “just getting by”. I fit in to the “just getting by” group, until I stepped back and found out what I was getting by with and it was more than enough, but there was a lot of debt that came with it also.

Anyway, I promised in this article I was going to shed some light on the other half of the story, preachers, evangelists and prophets haven’t told you about prosperity and gaining wealth that is stored up for you.

Since, they live in a “different world”, such as a non-profit, volunteer type of community, where they have to use their faith, their wits and their programs to keep their church and ministry running, that’s all they know.

Most preachers are focused on the God’s main goal and that is to “win souls to Christ”. Sure, many times you see their “ministry” takes control and some have lost focus, but for the most part, it’s about the people and their souls.

So what do they talk about when it come to gaining wealth? The only thing they know; Have Faith In God, Confess The Word and Give. That’s it. It’s all they have been taught and it’s been passed down to thousands of believers.

“Just believe, speak the word and give, and it shall be given unto you, pressed down, shaken together and running over!” Isn’t that what you have heard over the years? Then, why are you still broke or just getting by if you have done all those things?

For years, this would frustrate me to no end. I believed just as much as the next guy. I confessed and spoke the Word over my finances, if not, more than the next guy. And gave above and beyond the norm. So where is the wealth I kept hearing about?

The Answer: It’s still out there, waiting to be had.

Look, don’t get me wrong, the preachers are not in error in what they say. They do speak truth (as long as they are teaching out of God’s inspired word and not theirs), but they can only go so far in teaching about wealth in the spiritual sense. They can only go so far to teach about gaining wealth without crossing over into “secular” world of, let’s say, buying and selling. That would be considered, “unspiritual”.

So, what happens is, they’ll talk about raising your faith to believe for a “raise” at your job, (that usually amounts to an extra $.50 an hour), or a new job or a surprise check in the mail, which is all great but it’s not going to give you abundant riches and wealth.

In order to receive that type of wealth, you need to find a way to get it creatively without jeopardizing your faith. It’s not the preacher’s job to go into all the different ways to gain wealth and ways to get out of debt. Their job is to preach the Good News and reach a hurting and dying world.

That’s where I come in and take over from there. I believe it’s up to us, who are believers, to find the how to gain the wealth of the world, so we’re not “subjected” to the world. As I mention earlier, the world system is designed to oppress the people, believers and non-believers alike. Only difference is, we have a hope.

Do remember when Jesus said, “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16? Did you ever think that to be “shrewd as serpents…” meant to watch the ways of man, learn their ways, find out how they have become powerful and successful, but don’t follow their corruptive ways.

To me, this verse tells me you have to know the world and it’s ways, in order to comply and get things done for your gain, but to do it cleverly and innocently, as to not be disdain against your faith.

For example: The Madoff Ponzi Scheme, the biggest multibillion-dollar investment scheme in history. Madoff, according to this verse, would be considered as a wolf and a snake. He was shrewd, as to prey on the general public’s lack of knowledge of the financial markets, and a wolf that devoured all their financial assets, thus, destroying thousands of people lives.

Now, if you were to learn the ways he was able to entice the public, gain their trust and deliver results to them, then you would be learning how to be shrewd. However, to be innocent as doves, you need to find an ethical, moral, and legal business to offer people, without robbing them.

My goal is to offer you and others like you, hundreds of creative ways to get the wealth that is “stored up” for you. I believe people, especially believers, are not rich and wealthy, mainly, because they have never been taught or they have been afraid of taking a risk.
